Construction Costs in the Meramec Region
These costs are estimates only. Cost of land for buildings is not included. Shell buildings cost are for the bare essentials and lighting. Heat and air-conditioning is not included in these costs and would add $1.00 to $1.50 per square foot of heated/cooled area to the total building cost.
Average shell building, up to 12,000 sq. ft., costs $18 - $28 per square foot.
Generally speaking, the larger the building size, the lower the square foot costs.
Residential Structure
Average residential costs $62 per square foot. FMHA homes may be less, at $52 - $57 per square foot.
